Laura Wynne is a writer and filmmaker living in Brooklyn.
Laura’s work as an author, critic and interviewer has has appeared in major outlets including Creem Magazine, Grantland, The Comics Journal, The Ringer, and Screen Slate.
She has covered subjects ranging from genre cinema, pop music, gender, mental health, comics and film history.
Her work has appeared in multiple print publications including Creem, Studygroup Mag and textbooks by the Sequart Organization. Additionally, she has published a two part original science fiction story in Image Comics’ Prophet: Earth War.
She has worked as a director, photographer, screenwriter, copywriter, proofreader, ghost writer, audio & video editor, voice actor, PA and camera operator. Her clients have ranged from massive tech companies to small medical practices. She has filed reports from Berlinale, NYCC and Small Press Expo.
She has filmed dozens of punk shows and will continue to do so until they stop her.
She currently volunteers at collective-run microcinema Spectacle in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She has introduced films/ran Q&As in multiple NYC theaters including the Roxy and Syndicated.
She has worked in various capacities on on productions from 16mm zero budget films to fully crewed live newscasts.
Laura holds a BA in Creative Writing & English Literature from Moravian College.
She has the Last House on the Left tagline tattooed on her collarbone.
